The Bee Eater - Original Artwork - Pastel

This lovely bird was catching bees at the zoo one day, and I wanted to capture the moment when she perches to make sure the bee is dead and softened before feeding it or eating it herself. I wanted the bee to appear to be trying to escape. I think the sense of movement came out nicely.
