Here Comes The Sun

$375.00

A 12” x 18” watercolor and ink on paper, this turkey vulture was one who frequents the fields on our farm, and stretches her wings on one of the bare branches of an old oak often right after the rains, so she can dry her feathers in the sun. She was generous enough to allow me to photograph her this past summer. I enjoyed capturing all the colors that make up what we often think of as a dull, black bird. They are gloriously beautiful and they help keep out community clean and free from disease, by disposing of our unwanted carcasses laying about. What’s not to like about them?
