Quoth the Raven

$200.00
sold out

Corvids are my favorite family of birds. Something about the cleverness in their gaze makes me feel like they are about to impart the secrets of the Universe. Though I was thinking raven when I painted this, the photo sketch I used is of an A’lala, or Hawaii Crow I had the honor of working with many years ago in Hilo at the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center. He has inspired many a painting from me. This is simply the latest of many. But a raven is not a crow and vice versa. Do you know the difference? If not, perhaps it is time to look it up and learn about this amazing family of birds.

This is a 10” x 10” Inktense watercolor is on pressed cotton paper.
