Rainy Day Bluebird

$250.00

This little bluebird was captured by friend and neighbor, Vaughn Arthur, a very gifted photographer, in his back yard this past spring. I was so inspired by her little wet, determined face, as she struggled to keep gathering building materials for her nestbox during a downpour. No pesky weather was going to stop her from completeing her new summer home to raise her young.

Bluebirds struggle in so much of their range due to habitat loss and encroachment by humans. Offering them boxes in your backyards and safe places for them to hide and forage for bugs to feed their young during the spring and summer is so important. You can help by keeping underbursh in areas of your yard, and full bushes for them to perch and hide.
