The Matriarch No. 2: The Elefriends

$300.00

This painting was inspired by watching the elephant ex-orphans at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust who have returned to the wild now raising their own babies together in a wild herd. I am fascinated by how the whole herd works together regardless of wild born or hand-raised, and how the wild herd will even includ the keepers who raised part of their herd, all working together to care for their babies. A portion of the proceeds from every painting I sell goes to adopting orphaned elephants at SWT in Africa and giving them a fighting chance to survive. If you have not already done so, please visit The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and meet the orphans and their caregivers.

The painting is a 14” x 12” watercolor and ink illustration on paper.
