Eye of the Beholder Tusk Burn - Original Artwork - Mixed Media

In the year 2016, almost every country in the world banned ivory from trade at last. As a way of showing solidarity, most turned over all stores of ivory tusks that were piled into huge pyres and burned for the whole world to watch. I could only think of what the elephants would feel if they could see so many tusks from their loved ones being burned. I wanted to capture the moment in history but from the elephant's point of view.
